How is the responsible for the treatment of your personal data?

Serial Readers, S.L., with Tax Identification Number B67212563, will be the controller of the data provided through this website, as well as those provided by telephone, through any of our forms in paper format, those obtained as a result of your relationship with us and those resulting from your browsing and consumption habits. For what purpose do we process your personal data?

Serial Readers, S.L. will process your personal data in order to manage your relationship with us and in order to send you commercial communications by any means, even after the relationship with you has ended, in order to keep you informed about our products and services that are similar to those you requested.

We also hereby inform you that, in order to be able to offer you products and services of Serial Readers, S.L. or of third-party companies that are appropriate to your interests, as well as to improve your experience as a user of our website, we will prepare a “commercial profile” based both on the information that you provide and on any other information resulting from your consumption and browsing habits and that obtained from social networks. 

Furthermore, your personal data and commercial profile will be transferred to other Grupo Planeta companies so that they may send you commercial communications about their products and services or those of third-party companies which may or may not belong to Grupo Planeta. For this purpose, they will, in turn, prepare their own commercial profile with said data profiles, as well as with the data and profiles on you that they already have or which they obtain in the future, so that said communications may be of interest to you as a result of matching your tastes, consumption and browsing habits and commercial preferences. This processing will therefore imply the cross-referencing of databases between the different Grupo Planeta companies and data enrichment.

At any event, the third-party companies that do not belong to our group from which, as the case may be, we send commercial communications will be those that operate in the same sectors as Grupo Planeta companies, and which are indicated above, or in the telecommunications, banking and finance, travel, technology and legal sectors. 

How long will we store your data?

Both the personal data provided and those obtained from your browsing and consumption habits, as well as the commercial profile obtained, will be stored as long as you do not request their erasure.

What is the legal basis for processing your data?

The legal basis for processing your personal data is the execution and maintenance of the relationship with you, as well as the express consent which, as the case may be, you have provided to us for additional processing consisting in the sending of commercial communications from us and/or third parties, the preparation of commercial profiles and the transfer of said data and profiles to other Grupo Planeta companies for the purposes indicated in the section “For what purpose do we process your personal data?” above.

We hereby inform you that the personal data requested when registering on this website, those requested by telephone or in any of our forms in paper format, are those which are strictly necessary to formalise and manage the relationship with you and that we will be unable to maintain said relationship if such data is not provided. At any event, this main purpose is not dependent on the consent given for the processing of data that are not necessary for said main activity.

As we have indicated above, the prospective offer of our products and services and/or those of third parties, as well as the preparation of commercial profiles and the transfer of said profiles and your personal data to third-party companies of Grupo Planeta, are additional processing that are based on your consent that we hereby request. Under no circumstances will the withdrawal of this consent determine the continuation of your relationship with us.

Who do we share your data with?

Only in the event that you give us your consent will your personal data and, as the case may be, your commercial profile, be disclosed to other Grupo Planeta companies for the purposes indicated in the section “For what purpose do we process your personal data?” in this privacy policy. What are your rights when you provide us with your data?

Everybody has the right to obtain confirmation on whether or not Serial Readers, S.L. is processing personal data relating to them.

Furthermore, data subjects have the right to access their personal data, as well as the right to request the rectification of inaccurate data or, where appropriate, to request their erasure when, among other reasons, the data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.

Under certain circumstances, data subjects may request the restriction of the processing of their data, in which case we will only store such data for the exercise or defence of legal claims.

In certain circumstances, on grounds relating to their particular situation, data subjects may object to the processing of their data. Serial Readers, S.L. shall no longer process the data except on compelling legitimate grounds for the exercise or defence of legal claims.

Data subjects shall also have the right to receive the personal data concerning him or her, which he or she has provided to a controller, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit those data to another controller.

Data subjects may exercise these rights and revoke their consent given at any time by means of a letter addressed to Serial Readers, S.L., Apartado de Correos 221 de Barcelona, or by sending an email to lopd@serialify.com.

When they deem it appropriate, data subjects may submit a complaint to the Spanish Data Protection Agency, especially when they consider that we have not duly complied with the exercise of their rights. Said complaint may be submitted to the aforementioned authority by means of the different options provided by the electronic office of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
